I'm spiralling downward
no end in sight
I've tried to stay up
tried with all my might
Have to keep my head above water
have to stay afloat
But I just keep sinking
I'm drowning in a moat
Fight or flight takes over
I'm pushing upward
Growing more tired by the second
can't go down like a coward
What's that up ahead
am I reaching the surface
No it was just a mirage
I have served my purpose
